Phishing/ Scamming within the Lineage 1 community.

Please be aware of the still existing website that mimics the Lineage 1 Official Forums.

This website hides itself within the web address name visually matching that of the official website replacing the "L" in Lineage with a "1" (One).

In no way is this website affiliated with Lineage or a fansite of any kind. It is a phishing and scamming site geared towards capturing your game log in information as it prompts for a log in much like the official forums.

All appears identical except that the domain name is not the same.

Please use caution when visiting anywhere to view Lineage 1 related content.

So how do you identify it? Well for starters when you view a link visually on a page, it might say something different from what the actual link is. Make sure you check what the link is and where it goes if you are skeptical on it's path. This scam uses a link name that reflects what the link address is. The name is correct (but perhaps doesn't exist) yet the link address is the scammed website address.

Please use best practice to always log in to the forums at the index - boards.lineage.com rather than a thread you are reading, etc. Also be sure to keep your log in info secret, do not use the same info for your PlayNC account and Game accounts within and always remember that NC staff will never ask you for your passwords.
